INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS
A. CONDUCT
1. Students are to be in proper uniform during the duration of the Common Test.
2. All students must attend the flag-raising ceremony.
3. Make your way up to classroom quietly and orderly after flag-raising ceremony. (If it rains, pupils are to report to the classroom to take their pledge.)
4. Students must put their belongings in front of the classroom before the start of each paper.
5. Clear all the books, textbooks and files under the desks.
6. Students are required to be seated at their assigned desks at least ten minutes before the start of each paper.
7. No borrowing of stationery such as liquid paper, ruler, eraser, pencil, etc. and calculators is allowed.
8. Students must not have, in their possession, any book, notes or electronic gadgets.
9. Electronic gadgets must be switched off and placed in the bag during the test.
10 Students must not communicate, verbally or non-verbally, with anyone except the invigilator when the test is on.
11. Any student who is found to have cheated or attempts to cheat will be given a zero mark and will face disciplinary action.
12. Any pupil who is absent for a paper without valid reason will be given a zero for that paper.
B. ANSWERING QUESTIONS
1. The duration for each paper includes the time for reading the questions.
2. Students are not required to copy questions they are attempting. They are only to write the Question Number clearly.
3. Students are advised to read questions carefully before attempting to answer the questions. No marks will be given for information not asked for in the questions.
4. Students are advised that good time management is very important. They should not spend too much time on a few questions, leaving no time for the others.
C. AT THE END OF THE PAPER
1. Students should stop writing immediately when told to do so by the invigilator.
2. Students should continue to be quietly seated at their desks while the answer scripts are being collected.
3. Students are to dispose of any used paper into the waste paper basket.
